Michelle Gomez joined APCD in 2022 as an administrative assistant and has been an asset to the agency since then. By 2023, she transitioned to Field Operating Coordinator in the field department. In this position, she effectively supports the field department with data management, communication, and administrative tasks, demonstrating her organizational skills and commitment to excellence. She earned her associate’s degree at C.O.S. and continued her education at California State University Bakersfield, where she studied Biology. With 25 years of experience as a Quality Assurance Manager at Tissue Culture Biologicals (TCB), she played a crucial role in one of the top five serum manufacturers in the U.S. She managed the lab operations and collaborated closely with the USDA to facilitate the global distribution of serum products. Her goal at APCD is to utilize her past work experience in the field department, where she will contribute as a dedicated team player and an asset to the agency. In her free time, she enjoys bowling, traveling, watching movies, and cherishing moments with family and friends.
